The DSC PG9924 Wireless Curtain Motion Detector is ideal for monitoring an entryway or a particular section of a room. Curtain motion detectors differ from standard motion detectors in that they do not look for motion throughout an entire room. It will work with any PowerG-compatible panel. Instead, this type of sensor sends out a relatively thin detection signal, and it can only detect motion when someone moves directly in front of it. As stated before, the PG9924 works best when monitoring an entry way or to see if someone moves into a particular section of a room. The detection signal it sends out is thin, and its length can be adjusted using based on the situation. The device can be set up to utilize coverage lengths of 6, 12 and 18 feet depending upon the size of the opening it needs to monitor.
